RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY – NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY CENTER

On Thursday, June 10th, Wickersham’s project team joined town officials, funding agencies, employees and community members in cutting the ribbon at the grand opening of the Neighborhood Community Center in Elkton, MD. The community center was completed in October of 2020 and held a soft opening with limited activities and occupancy due to restrictions from the coronavirus.

The community was excited to officially open its doors at the ceremony for full use of the organization. The community center offers activities and events for all ages, including dance classes, summer camps, basketball, volleyball and much more.

The 18,000 SF pre-engineered metal building was constructed and managed by Wickersham Construction. Lewis George, Mary Magaw, Jeanne Miller and Chip Bromwell represented the Town of Elkton and the community center as project team members throughout the construction process. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing teamon this wonderful project that will be enjoyed by the community for many years to come.
