CARPENTER
Compensation: commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- General Carpentry and Construction duties including, but not limited to:
- Carpentry, Wall Framing, Door Framing, Door and Hardware Installation
- Finish Carpentry, Drywall, Painting
- Concrete, Rigging, Piping
- Equipment Setting and Heavy Equipment Operation
- Possess the ability to understand and execute work related instructions and methods.
- Maintain a high degree of integrity and supporting member of the entire Wickersham team.
- The maintenance and care of tools, equipment, and other company property.
- Wears and maintains proper safety equipment as required.
- Push, pull, and load/unload tools, equipment, and materials.
- Carries and uses trade associated tools, equipment, and materials up to a weight of 95 pounds.
- Working at heights as necessary to the job also within confined or enclosed spaces.
- Additional duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relatable Construction and/or Carpentry experience and High School Diploma.
- Relatable Degree, Certifications, and/or Higher Education (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, climb, walk, push, pull and perform the physical requirements of a similar job.
- Ability to integrate all tasks and responsibilities of the role in an organized and controlled manner.
- Capable of passing a drug screening, physical evaluation, and background screenings in accordance with State and Federal Regulations.
- Ability to travel as needed and work hours as required by project.
- Superior attendance and punctual arrival time.
- A team and goal-oriented mentality, respectful of others with a positive attitude.
SKILLED TRADESPERSON
Wickersham Construction is seeking versatile, high-caliber tradespeople to join our field operations. We specialize in complex Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant (W/WWTP) and industrial projects. We aren’t just looking for a specialist; we are looking for “builders”—pros who take pride in seeing a project through from the first form-pin to the final valve turn.
Core Disciplines
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical Assembly & Systems Integration: Ability to gather and inventory project components (pumps, motors, valves, and hardware), interpret assembly schematics, and systematically build out complex mechanical systems from the ground up.
- W/WWTP Process Piping: Expertise in the layout and installation of ductile iron, PVC, and stainless steel piping systems, including specialized gates and pumping equipment.
- Structural Concrete & Formwork: Heavy-duty forming (Symons, gang forms, etc.) for liquid-tight tanks and foundations, including precision rebar placement and concrete finishing.
- Industrial Carpentry: Proficient in rough framing, blocking, doors/hardware, and interior specialized wood or metal stud work within facility buildings.
- Precision Rigging & Setting: Experience assisting with the setting of heavy mechanical equipment, clarifiers, and aeration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-precision work on critical infrastructure projects including treatment plants and pump stations.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, including civil, structural, and mechanical drawings.
- Operate construction power tools and heavy equipment safely.
- Maintain a “safety-first” mindset, ensuring OSHA compliance on every task.
- Collaborate with the Site Superintendent to solve technical field challenges in real-time.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years in heavy commercial or industrial construction (Wastewater experience is a major plus).
- A “team-first” attitude—willing to move from formwork to pipe installation as the project schedule requires.
- Must have basic hand tools of your primary trade.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to job sites across the Central PA region.
- Must be comfortable working in outdoor environments, at heights, and in confined spaces (with proper training).
SUPERINTENDENT
Compensation: commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Review and understand the project plans and specifications
- Review approved submittals and shop drawings for implementation in the field
- Review the subcontracts and purchase orders for the project and have a clear understanding of the scope of work for each subcontractor or supplier
- Monitor Daily Sign-in Sheets for all persons on the jobsite; coordinate the schedule and activities of all crews and subcontractors working on the project
- Conduct, lead, and participate in regular meetings with Foreman, Project Manager, Project Engineers, owners, among others
- Coordinate layout for the buildings with in-house personnel, outside surveyors
- Participate in developing the CPM Master Schedule by working in conjunction with the PM in establishing durations and sequencing of work with emphasis on internal and contractual milestones and end dates
- Create and maintain a three week look ahead schedule in accordance with the CPM Master Schedule; prepare Daily Job Reports
- Develop with the Project Manager an on-site staging and rigging plan
- Receive material deliveries and maintain material staging plan and on-site inventory
- Analyze and coordinate equipment and manpower requirements
- Perform quality inspections and ensure accuracy with building documents; create a deficiency list of non-conforming work and distribute to applicable parties for immediate corrections
- Develop contact list and schedule all required inspections for the building elements; confirm the work is complete prior to scheduling the inspections
- Ensure compliance with all safety directives issued by safety department, project engineer, general superintendent, project manager or other outside party
- Ensure accurate reporting of time and quantities for phase of work under you control
- Properly code and promptly forward all delivery tickets and paperwork to the office
- Oversee and coordinate final project close-out including “Completion of Work Deficiency Log” and completion of punch-list
- Participate with the PM / PE in subcontractor evaluations at the close of a project
- Responsible for daily monitoring all T&M Field Order Directives of (man-hours, materials, equipment and detailed description of work)
Requirements:
- 5-10 years construction field experience, including demonstrated Superintendent experience required
- Must be willing to travel for up to 2 hours or as required
